Rosemont--La-Petite-Patrie is located at the centre of the island, slightly to the east, and is comprised of the Rosemont and Petite-Patrie neighbourhoods. Little Italy is also included in this borough. It has 136,000 inhabitants, and is well served by public transit and has many notable attractions. It is surrounded by Saint-Leonard, Mercier--Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, the Plateau, Outremont, and Villeray--Saint-Michel--Parc-Extension.

It is characterized by a majority of Francophone population (78%) with the presence of the Spanish, Italian, Chinese and Vietnamese. It is in this district that can be found the Italian neighborhood called Little Italy. With its 134,000 inhabitants, RPP is well served by public transit. There are two metro stations and dozens of bus routes on its main streets. Its real estate portfolio consists mainly of rental housing (73%). Only 27% of residents are owners. The condo market has, however, been an important development in recent years. Large complexes are under construction and, in several phases. This is the U31 (which will include 270 units at the end of every phase), the MUV Condos (350 futures units) and the Cité Nature (1400 units).
