Rosemont is located in the centre of the island of Montreal, in the borough Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie, and is bordered to the north by Belanger Street, Lacordaire and Sherbrooke Streets to the south and Iberville Street to the west. It is surrounded by Mercier, HOMA, Petite Patrie, St. Michel, Villeray, St. Leonard, and the Plateau.

Although there are houses in the area, Rosemont is mainly a condo and apartment neighbourhood. It is a hip and urban area that will please young people who are looking for an alternative to the Plateau. Rosemont's many green spaces are sure to appeal to families as well.

Its central geographical location means the neighbourhood has myriad transit options—multiple bus lines and four metro stations. Among its many parks, the most famous is the Maisonneuve Park, one of Montreal's largest. The most famous attraction is by far the Botanical Gardens. This 73 acre garden is one of the largest in the world and is also one of Montreal's most world-renowned attractions.

All in all, Rosemont, which was an agricultural sector before being incorporated into Montreal in 1910, is a dynamic place worth discovering.
