Are new constructions always and automatically guaranteed ?
Not always.
Since January 2015, all residential constructions including up to four superimposed units are covered by an unique guarantee, the GCR (Garantie de Construction Résidentielle or residential construction guarantee). Every other construction come under optional guarantees.
