Are new constructions always and automatically guaranteed ?

Description

Are new constructions always and automatically guaranteed ?

Not always.
Since January 2015, all residential constructions including up to four superimposed units are covered by an unique guarantee, the GCR (Garantie de Construction Résidentielle or residential construction guarantee). Every other construction come under optional guarantees.

Moreover, did you know that near 90 % of the buildings that are not covered by the GCR are nonetheless insured by another guarantee ? Risk management is an undeniable asset and most mortgage lenders require that future owners subscribe to one.
